Test Bakery A new test bakery that will allow small scale baking tests has now been commissioned and opened by Fayrefield FoodTec Ltd. The small scale bakery can produce bread, morning goods and confectionery products with the opportunity to employ three different mixing techniques including Tweedy High Speed and four piece moulding. The bakery will now offer Fayrefield FoodTec the ability to carry out functional testing of new wheat varieties, evaluation of flour blends, research into formulations and dough additives and examination of processing techniques and equipment variations on a small scale. The bakery will also compliment FoodTec’s activities in the areas of egg and milk replacers. The test bakery will also be used for training programmes, and to provide technical support to new or existing bakery customers in the UK
